So many want extravagance...our culture is built upon that desire, it seems. Whether for cars, clothes, houses, jewelry, whatever.....more, more, more is the rallying cry of the masses.
I too, want extravagance.
But...of a different sort.
Lord,
If it is Your will, give me an excess, an extravagant abundance of:
Love.
Mercy.
Of knowledge that is wholesome and edifying.
Compassion.
Kindness.
A thirst for holiness.
Your peace.
Grace.
Of wonderment and innocent delight.
Of Joy, pure and bubbling.
These things, Lord, are what I ask. So that those who know me might catch a glimpse of Your light within my life.
In the name of Him who loved us first,
Amen.
