It is not enough to say you love God if you won't love His people.

It is not enough to say you love God if you won't love His people.

If you have no love, no burden of the heart, for the lost, lonely, broken, vulnerable and oppressed ....then how can you say you follow the Lord who died to redeem such as those?

And if you are content to sit and watch the lost, wounded, poor and broken remain in their state, without having a need to help them, pray for them, give to them and lift them up ....how can you say you have any regard for them at all? If the plight of these dear souls won't stir your heart, then how can the love of God be in you?

None of us can fix all the sorrows around us, much less those of the world. But we can earnestly love, fervently pray, deeply listen, gently speak, fiercely advocate and give as we can.

When we are given a heart for those God loves, we can scarcely do otherwise.
